April 19, 2011 – Vancouver, BC: Techlink Entertainment unveiled its new electronic gaming machine (EGM) today at the 15th Annual Canadian Gaming Summit. Called Blast™, the terminal is the company’s latest offering targeting the wide-area market. This exciting new design is the centrepiece of Techlink’s booth (#513) at the Summit’s trade show, being held at the Vancouver Convention Centre April 18-20.
Blast™ is high-performing, convergence-ready and designed for maximum impact. With two high-definition wide screen monitors and LED lighting, playing this EGM is an engaging sensory experience. It can also offer Techlink’s new Hybrid functionality which will allow online games to be played directly on the EGM screen. This means operators will have the flexibility to deliver a wide range of multimedia and online gaming content to players to take their gaming experience to the next level.
“Blast™ truly moves the gaming industry one step closer to convergence. Its open design, flexibility and online power allow operators to deliver online games, traditional casino games, VLT games and lottery games, like scratch tickets, all on one terminal. This is the future of gaming,” says John Xidos, President and CEO of Techlink.
Blast™ is slated to go into production in late 2011. Along with the new EGM design, Techlink also unveiled a new platform called LaunchIT™. This platform provides a powerful vehicle to deliver 3D-accelerated graphics, CD-quality sound and superior game content. To round out its new offerings, Techlink launched nine engaging new games at the Summit ranging from a cheeky reel game all about marriage called “Love & MatriMoney” to a glitz and glam shopping-themed game called “Beverly Bills.”
These exciting new offerings were showcased alongside Techlink’s family of innovative gaming products, including:
